With battles at both ends of the Premier League table now really starting to heat up, we have another stacked schedule on our hands. So, for those of you looking to stick on a Saturday acca, we have found a handful of helpful tips that are worth keeping an eye out for.
Saturday March 11th
BST 12:30 Bournemouth vs Liverpool
While Liverpool might have come under a string of scrutiny this season, Jurgen Klopp’s side are coming off the back of a remarkable romp on home soil. Eventually claiming a history-making 7-0 victory against historic rivals Manchester United, Saturday’s guests now have their sights firmly set on securing a much-needed top-four finish this season. With the mood around Anfield undoubtedly at the highest it has been this season, Klopp’s men will be looking to lay down another Premier League marker here. Now collecting 13 points from their last five top-flight appearances, Mohamed Salah also appears to be getting back to his clinical best. Bagging a record-breaking brace against United last weekend, the Egyptian icon has notched five strikes in his previous six matchups across all competitions and should be relishing a trip to the south coast on Saturday lunchtime. With Bournemouth suffering real last-gasp heartbreak away at Arsenal last time out as they eventually fell to a remarkable 3-2 loss in north London, Gary O’Neil’s men find themselves at the heart of a relegation scrap. Recording just a single Premier League victory since opening 2023, the Cherries have also gained a reputation for their extended issues at the back. In fact, Bournemouth have shipped 51 Premier League strikes this season the worst defensive tally in England’s top-flight. Hit with an infamous 9-0 drumming when they traveled to Anfield back on August 27th, O’Neil’s side should be bracing themselves for another huge challenge at he Vitality.
Tip: Mohamed Salah to score anytime @ 6/5
15:00 Leeds vs Brighton
While some around the Amex might have been disappointed after watching Graham Potter make the move to Chelsea back in September, Saturday’s guests are enjoying a history-making flurry. Only continuing to shine since appointing Roberto Di Zerbi, the Seagulls should find the mood in their camp at a red-hot high. Last seen putting in a sensational display on home soil as they claimed a thumping 4-0 romp against West Ham, the ex-Sassuolo boss has his sights firmly set on securing a European finish in 2023. Booking their FA Cup quarter-final ticket after picking up a 1-0 victory away at Championship outfit Stoke on February 27th, Brighton will be smelling the chance to make another statement this weekend. Now losing just one of their previous 1- appearances across all competitions a run that stems all the way back to December 26th, Di Zerbi’s high-flying squad have also shown some real grit while away from the Amex. In fact, along with opening the New Year with a 4-1 victory away at Everton, the Seagulls have not suffered a single Premier League defeat on their travels since back in October. On the flip side, last seen getting hit with a 1-0 loss away at a struggling Chelsea, Leeds are in the midst of yet another relegation scrap. Opening this weekend’s fixtures with just their goal difference keeping them out of the drop zone, new boss Javi Garcia has seen his side win just one of their last seven matchups across all formats.
Tip: Brighton win Under 4.5 goals @ 11/8
15:00 Everton vs Brentford
Putting in a rampant display on home soil earlier in the week as they claimed a thrilling 3-2 victory against local rivals Fulham, Brentford have only continued to gain a string of plaudits this season. Another Premier League dark horse that is dreaming of the chance to book a maiden European finish, Thomas Frank’s side are enjoying a record-breaking unbeaten run. In fact, along with opening February with a thumping 3-0 victory against Southampton, the Bees are unbeaten in each of their last 12 straight Premier League appearances. With that remarkable purple patch stemming all the way back to October 23rd, Brentford have also picked up some heavyweight scalps. Heading into the World Cup’s winter break with a famous 2-1 win away at defending champions Manchester City, Saturday’s guests also stunned Liverpool on January 2nd as they picked up a 3-1 romp in west London. With the red-hot Ivan Toney once again getting on the scoresheet on Monday night, Frank’s side will travel to Goodison Park looking to make another top-flight statement. Although Everton might have eventually had to settle for a lively 2-2 draw away at Nottingham Forest last weekend, it doesn’t cover what has been an extended struggle for Sean Dyche’s new squad. Despite opening Dyche’s tenure with a shock 1-0 victory against Arsenal back on February 4th, the Blues have since won just one of their last five Premier League appearances.
